For our customers seeking maximum strength in a disc style shape, we are proud to stock N55 neodymium disc magnets. Compared to N52 neodymium magnets, N55 neodymium magnets are up to 6% stronger. N55 neodymium disc magnets are ideal for applications where space is limited, but a very high amount of magnetic force is required. They are often used in tight situations for delicate applications such as magnetic sensors, magnetic switches, and more.
Neodymium magnets, a variety of rare earth magnet, are known for being the most powerful magnets in the world. In addition to their remarkable strength, they are also highly versatile. BuyMagnets.com is excited to announce that we are now carrying N55 grade neodymium disc magnets.
Neodymium magnets are composed of neodymium (Nd), iron (Fe), and boron (B). Neodymium magnets are sought out for many reasons apart from their intense strength. Neodymium magnets also offer a high resistance to demagnetization and heat, with a maximum operating temperature of 180 °F and high-temperature neodymium magnets capable of operating at temperatures up to 300 °F. To resist corrosion, neodymium magnets will typically be coated with nickel, although other coating options are available.
Previously, N52 grade neodymium magnets were the strongest magnets available. Now, we are able to offer a magnet of even greater strength to our customers seeking the strongest strength in a disc style shape. Compared to N52 neodymium magnets, N55 neodymium magnets are up to 6% stronger.
Neodymium magnets are rated by grade–as a general rule, the higher a neodymium magnet’s grade, the greater its strength. The intense power of N55 neodymium magnets is recommended for the most challenging projects that require the greatest amount of magnetic strength. Because of what is known as a “miniaturization process,” N55 grade neodymium magnets can achieve the holding strengths typically boasted by larger magnets, but in a much smaller size.
Typically, powerful N55 neodymium magnets will be used in applications where space is very limited, but the amount of magnetic force required is very high. As an example, an N55 grade neodymium magnet would be used in a situation where an extremely small magnet must tightly hold an object to its surface. N55 grade neodymium magnets may also be used in tight situations such as magnetic sensors, magnetic switches, and other delicate applications.
Due to the high strength of neodymium magnets and other rare magnets, users must take safety precautions when handling neodymium magnets. Do not place neodymium magnets near electronic devices, credit cards, or medical devices such as pacemakers. Do not allow fingers or hands to be in the path of two attracting magnets, as severe pinching may occur. Neodymium magnets are not toys, and must be kept out of the reach of children.
